Meet the Host
Dr. Pedro is Vice President, Medical Director of Vyaire Medical in Illinois. He is a board-certified anesthesiologist and previously was the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Revolutionary Medical Devices, which focused on breathing solutions and Vyaire acquired in 2017. A graduate of Brown University, he earned his medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine and completed his residency in anesthesiology, including serving as chief resident, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology and the New York State Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Niven is critical care specialist, pulmonologist and internist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. A graduate of Georgetown University, he earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed both his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is a member of Mayo Clinic Rochester Joint Ethics Critical Care Pandemic Triage Work Group, serves on the Board of Regents of the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST), and belongs to the National Association for Medical Direction of Respiratory Care.
