Meet the Host

Dr. Pedro is Vice President, Medical Director of Vyaire Medical in Illinois. He is a board-certified anesthesiologist and previously was the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Revolutionary Medical Devices, which focused on breathing solutions and Vyaire acquired in 2017. A graduate of Brown University, he earned his medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine and completed his residency in anesthesiology, including serving as chief resident, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology and the New York State Society of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Silkoff is an experienced pulmonologist who has served as the Chief Medical Officer for Third Pole Therapeutics; Senior Medical Director at Janssen R&D, a pharmaceutical company of Johnson & Johnson; and Medical Director at AstraZeneca. He also was an associate professor at National Jewish and the Clinical Director of the adult ambulatory pulmonary services, with an appointment as associate professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In his industry roles, he oversaw multiple clinical studies in asthma, COPD, interstitial pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis. He currently counsels industry and serves as a preceptor attending physician for the Temple Lung Center Fellows Clinic at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Silkoff earned his MBBS in respiratory medicine from University College London and an MBBS in medicine from the University of London.
