Vyaire Marks Industry Arrival by Earning AARCs Zenith Award for Respiratory Product Excellence

SAN ANTONIO - October 17, 2016 - Vyaire Medical, Inc., the world's largest pure-play "breathing company," was presented with the Zenith Award by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) at the 62nd International Respiratory Congress and Exhibition being held October 15, 2016 through October 18, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. Vyaire was formed as a standalone, global respiratory solutions company on October 3, 2016 when BD divested its Respiratory Solutions assets, including its Anesthesia Delivery and Patient Monitoring, Respiratory Diagnostics, Mechanical Ventilation, and Respiratory Care Consumables lines.

Voted on by AARC members, the Zenith Award is given to the top companies in the respiratory care industry and is widely considered the "people's choice" award for the respiratory care profession. AARC members are asked to evaluate and identify outstanding companies using criteria including: quality of equipment and supplies; accessibility and helpfulness of sales personnel; overall company responsiveness; service records; truth in advertising; and support of the respiratory care profession. This year's award marks the ninth time Vyaire and its predecessor companies have received this distinguished award.

"We are proud to accept the AARC's 2016 Zenith Award as a new name in this industry with roots that extend back to the beginning in 1955, when Dr. Forrest Bird developed the first mechanical ventilator," said Ruth Lundstrom, Vice President and General Manager of Ventilation at Vyaire.

While our company name has changed, the people from across all of our business segments are the same. It is these talented people who have worked so hard to serve this profession that enabled us to receive this award. Vyaire CEO Dave Mowry was also present at the conference, meeting with customers and learning from their perspective on the current and anticipated challenges they face in providing quality and cost-effective care to their patients.

"Our focus is squarely on our current markets, the respiratory solutions space, as we will build our new brand on the foundation of great products and amazing people that define Vyaire," CEO Dave Mowry

Most importantly, we will continue to partner with healthcare professionals to deliver meaningful innovation across the products, services and support that directly contribute to improved outcomes for patients. Vyaire is highlighting its respiratory solutions in booth 1012 at the AARC Congress including ventilators, respiratory diagnostics equipment and AirLife® respiratory products.
